Bulk Item Pick-Up Change

The Town of Geddes Highway Department will discontinue the pick up and disposal of resident’s mattresses and box springs, effective December 11th, 2019. This is due to a new $15 fee per mattress/box spring being charged by OCCRA. If you have any questions, please contact the Highway Department at 315-488-7705. Thank you.

The Highway Department will continue to pick up the following:

Bulk items will be picked up by the Highway Department  the DAY AFTER garbage and recycling, EXCEPT Lakeland and Lindbergh Lawns which will be picked up on MONDAY.

Bulk items are:

1. Upholstered furniture

2. Desks

3. Chairs

4. Large plastic items

5. Children’s pools

6. Pool liners, etc.

7. Large toys

**No full house clean outs, residents must get a dumpster**

The following items WILL NOT BE PICKED UP

1. No Metal

2. No car parts/gas tanks

3. No Refrigerators/freezers

4. No Air Conditioners

5. No Tires

6. No electronics/tvs/computer monitors

The Highway Department no longer accepts electronics. Please visit ocrra.org or contact the Highway Department for a list of e-waste recycling options.
