Sample Ballots for the November Elections are now available to view. We would like to take this opportunity to make Geddes voters aware of two very important Propositions on the back their Ballots.
1st – Residents in the Solvay Fire District will have a Proposition for amending the service awards program for the active volunteer firefighter members of the Solvay Fire Department. The fire district is looking to change the annual service contribution from $480 to $1,200 for each calendar year during which an active volunteer firefighter earns a year of service credit under the point system.
2nd – Geddes Voters will have the opportunity to decide if they want to allow for the retail sale and onsite consumption of marijuana within the Town limits (not including the Village of Solvay). Please read the language of the proposition, as it is stating “prohibit”.
